Utilizing pewter within your décor adds a very antiquated and mysterious touch. Reminiscent of statuary and gravestones, this material has a type of timeless, rough elegance that is hard to put into words.
Of the many decorative items that I have curated over the years, these goblets are some of the most exquisite.
Thought to have been produced in Italy during the early 1900s by the Peltrato Company, the goblets were a must-have. They stand at roughly 9" tall and have a depth of around 7".
There currently isn't very much information online about the Peltrato Company that I could find, but I would love to know more about the history of this intricately casted drinkware.
My purpose for these goblets is to be used in part of a very important celebration in my life. I will be looking to make/purchase a secondary reservoir to install into the chalice in order to use them for their original purpose. This will also refrain from damaging them and harming anyone's health. Other options for later use would be as vases or part of a large centerpiece. Again, utilizing a reservoir to preserve the goblets from ruin.
Though most antiques and vintage items are harmless, I suggest researching the materials used in creating these items to store food/drink before actually using them for their original intended purposes. Please be sure to check first, for your safety.
